＜列寧格勒＞首次於1989年收錄於比利˙喬（這個中譯越唸就越覺得怪怪的）第十一張專輯《暴風鋒面》（Storm Front）中。



　　我沒有那張專輯，但我以前提過我在下北澤買到的精選輯《精選輯III》（Greatest Hits Volume III）幾乎收錄了《暴風鋒面》中一半的歌。

　　＜列寧格勒＞（Leningrad）單曲封面（上面還有一段歌詞）：


　　封面乍看之下很陽春，但是我還蠻喜歡的，那句選的也不錯。紅白的封面讓我想到史蒂芬˙金1994年的《失眠》首次發行的版本：


　　為什麼設計成這樣？因為『白凌駕於紅，則甘恩之志行焉。』，這又是因為『一切皆為了光束而服務。』（或是你要翻成『一切皆為光束所用。』）哈。

　　總之呢，其實我大概在去年的這個時候就聽過這首歌了，當下就決定那是比利˙喬（我平常絕對不會講比利˙喬！）最棒的一首歌。也是因為這樣才在下北澤買了那張精選輯。

　　這首歌是一個關於冷戰的歷史作品，毫無疑問。而且並不是用什麼偉大的角度去看，而是兩個平凡人的角度去看美蘇冷戰。小丑維多真有其人，是比利˙喬1987年去蘇聯開演唱會（那次他還唱披頭四的＜Back In USSR＞）時認識的朋友，歌詞記載了他們從小到大發生的歷史事件。

　　歌中提到的萊維敦是比利˙喬的家鄉，位於紐約州。而列寧格勒就是聖彼得堡，以前學測還指考好像就考過聖彼得堡以前的眾多名字。我就說世界史很有趣吧。

　　從去年六月到今年九月一下就過完了，而且發生了好多事情......算了，不想再重複說這些陳腔濫調了。我總覺得我最近寫的東西越來越有禮貌了，大概是太久沒看史蒂芬˙金的小說了。
