　　這首歌收錄於羅克塞（Roxette）的專輯《飆》（Joyride，不是我翻的）。就像他們其他大部分的歌一樣，這首是裡面的吉他手（有時候也會唱歌）皮爾‧蓋索（Per Gessle）寫的。

　　裡面提到的〈小丑之淚〉（The Tears of a Clown）是史摩基‧羅賓遜與奇蹟樂團（Smokey Robinson and the Miracles）唱的歌。小丑的眼淚有隱喻『別人不了解的悲傷』的意思在。




　　我大二上的時候，在大直站的天主教二手商店花五十塊買到《Joyride》這張專輯。我很喜歡這張專輯，大概有一半以上的歌是我會一聽再聽的的。我覺得這首歌的歌詞寫的很好，讓我想到大二上那種不知道為什麼在努力的生活。

　　我很掙扎要翻『花了一些時間』還是『浪費一堆時間』，但我覺得這種意境並不是『浪費』而是『虛度』，可是『虛度』又太咬文嚼字一點。所以還是翻成『花了一些時間』。

　　比起家教，我比較想做翻譯；比起翻譯網路商店的網頁，我比較想翻小說或是歷史書籍；不過比起這些東西，或比起參與管委會，或比起管理粉絲專頁，我還是最想寫小說。

　　這首歌收錄於彼特·賽特拉離開芝加哥樂團（Chicago）之後的第一張專輯《Solitude/Solitaire》（呃，可以翻成「孤獨/隱士」）。由巴比·寇威爾（Bobby Caldwell）和保羅·戈登（Paul Gordon）所寫。在一次對保羅·戈登的訪談中，我們可以得知巴比是他已經崇拜很久的作曲家。『我還在創作的時候，我是巴比·寇威爾的頭號粉絲。我的老闆朗尼·凡斯（Ronny Vance）因此安排我和他一起寫歌。我所崇拜的人希望跟我待在同一個房間，和我一起寫歌，讓我當時興奮得要死。』



　　『那時候我去巴比的家，當時他剛搬進新公寓。他所有的全部東西只有一張椅子、一個電子琴和一個鼓機。我們直接開始寫歌，那首（〈The Next Time I Fall〉 ）是我們第一首一起寫的歌。和巴比寫歌是一個神奇的經驗。他可以對一件事情非常專心，而且總是可以知道他要的是什麼。我很確定前面幾個小時，他完全就是用他的鼓機在編寫Hi hat的部分，而我就是坐在那邊盯著看。最後關頭我們才寫完這首歌。』



　　而當被問到：『這首歌是不是特別寫成雙人對唱？在寫的時候，是不是特別想說要寫給彼特·賽特拉和艾美·葛蘭特來唱？』，保羅回答：『不，我們並沒有要把這首歌寫成雙人對唱。不過我們確實知道芝加哥正在尋找可以唱的材料，彼特也是，當時他剛單飛。我記得，芝加哥和彼特都中意這首歌，而我們得作二選一。我覺得我們選對了。』



　　這首歌我九年級和高三各聽一次，第一次是找到了家裡的《Solitude/Solitaire》這張專輯，但聽完整張專輯後，覺得除了八年級就聽過的〈Glory of Love〉之外，其他歌都還好。到了高三剛開學時再聽的時候，是找到這個影片↓







　　這個影片把八Ｏ年代和九Ｏ年代最經典的幾首歌的副歌段落都剪在一起，當時有再聽到這首歌，但我還是覺得還好。要比這首歌更棒而我沒聽過的歌還是很多。（其中我最喜歡〈Starting Over Again〉和〈In My Dreams〉）。不過有人說從那個影片的選歌，可以感覺出來作影片的人是菲律賓人。



　　總之今天我心血來潮在開車之前，從我新買的CD架上拿起，當時九年級的我放到旁邊的《Solitude/Solitaire》到車上聽。剛開始聽的時候我還以為那是精選輯，結果它只是普通的專輯啊！我九年級時竟然不覺得裡面的歌好聽，這張幾乎是傑作啊。尤其是這首〈The Next Time I Fall〉，越聽越好聽，越聽越想再聽一次，好像染了毒癮一樣。

　　這首歌收錄於Billy Joel 1986年的專輯《橋》（The Bridge）之中，然而就像我四年前翻譯的另一首歌〈All About Soul〉一樣，我是聽精選輯的。這兩首歌都會讓我想到2011年的春天，剛跟子琪在一起的時候，還有畢業旅行。我最喜歡『I'm warm from the memory of days to come』那句，可是怎麼樣都翻不好。

　　這首歌收錄於生存者合唱團（Survivor）1982年的專輯《虎之眼》（Eye of the Tiger），就是收錄鼎鼎大名的〈Eye of the Tiger〉的那張。我也很喜歡那首歌，但總覺得像他們這樣的重金屬樂團唱抒情歌總是特別好聽。好比說另一首我最喜歡的〈The Search Is Over〉，這首也是其中之一。這首歌是我2014年寒假開始聽的，和同樣屬於那張專輯的〈I'm Not That Man Anymore〉和〈American Heartbeat〉一起聽。以致於我後來九月去東京時跑去下北澤的Disk Union買了這張《Eye of the Tiger》......不過我發現最好聽的還是我原本就聽的那幾首。

　　我最喜歡『And I stand alone, a man of stone』那段中，『希望依舊燃燒著永恆』那句，我覺得一個故事只要有三個像這樣的句子，就足以永垂不朽了。

　　這首歌收錄於艾迪˙曼尼（Eddie Money）的《無法挽回》（Can't Hold Back）中。他是長島出生的，而這首歌我也是在長島聽的。我最喜歡美國的一點就是打開收音機十五分鐘內就有三首我放在iPod的歌（在台灣大概要兩個小時），而且每首都是經典！

 

　　不過這首歌我不是在收音機聽的，而是在婚禮上聽到的＝ｖ＝。我媽表妹的婚禮，她老公艾瑞克的朋友聽到這首歌一付好像這是他們的招牌曲一樣在跳舞，從跳舞的動作可以看出來他們早就跳這首歌好幾遍了XD。

 

　　對了裡面提的羅妮是羅尼特組合的主唱，『Be my little baby』是在講她們唱的〈Be My Baby〉。

這首歌發表於1988年的專輯《紐澤西》（New Jersey），我今年（2013年）寒假去京都的Book Off買下這張專輯的二手CD。在買下這個專輯的那一刻，我的邦喬飛專輯在當時全部收集完成。耗費我六年的時間，我總算把二十八年來的每一張錄音室專輯買下來。當我聽到這首歌就想到下學期剛開學的時候，最常浮現的畫面是我從實齋走到小吃部的路上，還有通往山上的校車上。

久違的歌詞翻譯，還是翻歌詞感覺有意義多了。學測後我竟然只翻了兩首歌。我最喜歡他最後又重唱一次第一段時的前兩句：『So you want to be a cowboy, well you know it's more than just a ride.』，總讓我想到兩個認識牛仔在出生入死後（或其中一個即將死去之時），微笑相視的畫面。

芝加哥的專輯名字有著簡單且明瞭的規律，除了前兩張他們還沒想到這個辦法，分別取名為《芝加哥樞紐合唱團》（The Chicago Transit Authority）和《芝加哥》（Chicago）外（前者那樣取是因為那是他們一開始的團名，然而後來因為芝加哥的真正樞紐，也就是芝加哥交通局Chicago Transit Authority威脅要採取法律行動，他們的製作人詹姆斯˙威廉˙葛利柯James William Guerico變精簡了團名），後面的如第三張取《芝加哥3》，第四張取《芝加哥4》。

我聽這首歌不是從這個專輯聽來的，而是我爸大學的時候買的《精選集1982-1989》（Greatest Hits 1982–1989），同樣第發行於1989年。同時，它也是第二十張專輯，因此也被稱做為《芝加哥20》。

這首歌首次發表於比利喬告別流行樂壇的最後一張專輯《夢想河》（River of Dreams），發行於1993年。我的版本是收錄在1997年《精選輯III》（Greatest Hits Volume III）（在下北澤買的二手貨），每當我在學校早自習聽到這首歌，我就會對自己想：『我一定要翻譯這首歌。』於是在欠了兩篇遊記和眾多故事的情況下，我就翻譯了這首歌。

這首歌發表於1992年的專輯《保持信念》（Keep the Faith），我的版本（我的版本似乎總是和原本不一樣）是收錄在2001年的日本限定精選輯《邦喬飛精選：東京的街道》（Tokyo Road: Best of Bon Jovi）裡的。

我是因為《黑塔V》才開始接觸這首歌的，如果你也看過，你就會知道這首歌對神父卡拉漢意義重大，因為他在獵殺吸血鬼的時候會想起這首歌，也暗示了他對現實世界的掙脫，但某方面來說......我覺得後面幾句也暗示了黑塔的結局。







這裡還有個影片，是之前一個住紐約的華人推薦我去看的，那是我看過最棒的黑塔影片了XD







這首歌收錄於艾爾頓˙強1975年的專輯《奇異船長與黃沙牛仔》（Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy）。有人說歌中在講講艾爾頓˙強因壓力過大，而產生出自殺的念頭。但大部分的資料（我也支持）顯示，這是講強及時逃離一個他根本不想要的婚姻的故事。

答： 這首歌《今晚有人救我一命》在敘述艾爾頓人生中的一個事件。在六Ｏ年代末期，他幾乎要和一個不愛他音樂和所作所為的女人結婚。他想從這種狀況中脫身，但又相當困惑，也不想去面對她。所以有一晚他喝醉酒，從酒吧離開朋友們回家。當伯尼（艾爾頓˙強的作詞人，他們怎麼會住在一起呢？）回來之後，他發現艾爾頓躺在廚房裡，舒適地枕著枕頭，烤箱是開著的，整間廚房煙幕瀰漫。但也有一扇窗戶是開的，於是伯尼開始大笑。　：－）



這個試圖性自殺其實是他哭喊著救命的表現。



那句『Paying your H.P. demands forever』在指分期付款。我認為縮寫『H.P.』代表分期付款（Hire-Purchase）或薪水（Hire-Pay）。這代表他後半輩子都得支付她的開支。他認為這樁婚姻會是無止境的苦差事。關於那句『妳幾乎把我綑綁住。紅地毯，使人著迷』，是他當時對她說，哇噢，我差點被困在妳織的網中。

很八Ｏ年代的音樂，愛死這種曲風了。



有人看過這個卡通嗎？我記得當時是在卡通頻道播。還有啊，我發現Youtube上大家都在講九Ｏ年代的美國卡通比較棒，現在的美國卡通畫質變好了，但同時也商業化了:　(　就連《海綿寶寶》後期劇本也越寫越糟了，看來所有的東西都是這樣，真是的。

這首歌第一次發表於1985年的專輯《華氏7800度》，而我聽的是他收錄於2001年的日本限定精選輯《邦喬飛精選：東京的街道》裡面的。雖然說專輯名就是這首歌，但在比起此專輯中其他歌卻沒那麼出色。不過仍挺酷的，和日本民歌做結合。

主角是不是日本人呢？它在裡面的設定還挺亂的，但我覺得重點不在日本，重點在櫻花。

我一直想找首歌來翻譯。原本的最佳選擇是邦喬飛（Bon Jovi）的《東京的街道》（Tokyo Road），但還有很多句子不完全懂。



《奇幻之旅》收錄於同名專輯，首次發行於一九六七年十一月二十七日，而且之後又收錄在披頭四往後的幾十張精選輯中。



我之所以選這首歌，因為它好聽、歌詞好翻譯，但或許大家會覺得好像隱藏什麼意義，我也這麼覺得，而且仔細看看後，我覺得就某方面來說，還蠻詭異的。『把你帶走』有個另外的涵義，相信大家大概都了解。
